About Me
Hi! I'm Kathy.
As far back as I can remember, I've always felt called to a helping profession. Even growing up, I was often the friend people came to when they needed someone to listen, process a difficult situation, or simply feel understood. Being a safe space for others came naturally to me, and I knew I wanted a career centered around helping people navigate life's most challenging moments.
I began my professional journey by earning my Bachelor's degree in Social Work. During that time, I had the privilege of serving unhoused veterans, children and adults in psychiatric units, patients in emergency departments, families in a women's birth center, individuals in substance use treatment, and people experiencing homelessness. Each person and every setting taught me something invaluable.
Social work didn't just shape my career—it expanded my heart. It taught me how to truly meet people where they are, with empathy instead of judgment. I learned that behind every diagnosis, every difficult season, and every painful experience is a person with a unique story deserving of compassion, dignity, and understanding. Those experiences deepened my appreciation for the resilience of the human spirit and continue to influence the way I show up for my clients today.
As my passion for this work grew, I realized I wanted to deepen my clinical skills and provide ongoing therapeutic support. That led me to pursue my Master's degree in Social Work and become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Today, I strive to create a space where you don't have to pretend you're okay or have all the answers. Whether you're navigating depression, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, or a major life transition, my goal is to meet you exactly where you are—with curiosity, empathy, and without judgment.
I believe healing begins when we feel safe enough to be our authentic selves. Together, we'll explore the experiences that have shaped you, better understand patterns that may no longer serve you, and build practical tools that help you move toward the life you want to create.
It is a privilege to be invited into my clients' stories. If you're considering therapy, I'd be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing and growth.
